Well, for me, i've found the hand times to be really rough in the article when you just use one of your times. So I take the average of my runs and then look at the chart and that usually gets me closer to it.
The 100m to 200 m equivilency is within .05 for me.
If you are able to hit that fast of a top speed, but are running slower than what it says, it could be a few things. Your acceleration may be sub par and it is taking you too long to hit that top speed. You may need more speed endurance work so you can hold onto that speed longer. Or the guy with the stopwatch timing you may have an itchy trigger finger 🙂
