as stated earlier PASTA the night before i also read that unsalted pretzels and penut butter sandwiches are good snacks to eat, during track meets i eat any fruit i feel like ,"FRUIT IS FUEL", and it also helps hydration and cramp, drink plenty water or water ur sports drinks a little bit
Pasta, pretzels and bread are all highly processed carbohydrates. While not necessarily bad it would be better to include some less processed carbs including those with some fiber. Your recommendation for fruit intake is a good one though.
