I do fine when we have our Saturday meets that start at 10:30am, but what should one eat when a meet doesn't start until 4:30pm and will be lasting until 9 or 9:30? I will be doing jumping events right away at 4:30 and running the 4×400 around 9 or so. I generally have oatmeal in the mornings, and bananas during the meet or sometimes pretzels with honey. Are there any modifications you would suggest? How do you handle afternoon meets so you don't feel too weighed down (HJ) or too empty?
