my sophmore year our school had our annual blue and white meet where we combine the boys and girls teams to make relays 2 guys and two girls on each. im the final leg on my team and my gf is the final leg on the other, we had matched up in the 4×800 before this and i smoked her so she was hell bent on beating me in this. she gets the baton for the 4×400 almost 100m ahead of me i went all out for about 120m and then coasted and pulled beside her with 50m left. when she saw me she started to lift so i stayed with her, but right at the line i let her win, my team ragged on me for weeks me for it but lets just say she thanked me for it later
