What's wrong with practice PR's? In my book, this is a reason to be happy due to your training indicators, but they are just that, indicators. Sounds like you've put in excellent preparation for your event and the forced rest just helped to bring out the results of your work. This shouldn't be anything to freak over.
A lot of what you're asking depends on several variables. How much over your old 14-step PR was the jump last week? What is your competitive LJ PR? What are your performance goals for the LJ this season? What was the nature of your foot injury? Are you back to 100% from the injury? What is your current planned schedule for the outdoor conditioning, SPP, Comp cycles? How long have you been training / competing (training age)?
