48 hours between speed work.

          Looking for a reference stating that there should be a 48 hour gap between true speed sessions. If anybody knows one straight of the bat that would be awesome, failing that I will probably have found what I need by the time I check back.

          Charlie Francis says 48 hours between speed work days in his book “The Charlie Francis Training System”.

          You probably know of him but if you don’t, all you need to know is that he coached Ben Johnson.

          If you have ever read “Science of Winning” by Jan Olbrecht there is a chart showing recovery times of various workouts. “Athletic Development” by Vern Gambetta has the same chart.
