    5 Favorite Lifts?

          Just curious what everybody's favorite lifts are for performance, not just performing them (even though they could be both). Here are mine:

          1. Power Clean
          When my clean is up, I feel more powerful. It lets me know how well I'm expressing my strength
          2. Back/Front Squat
          Gotta have the strength in order to express it
          3. Power Snatch
          I don't feel as powerful as in the clean, but it helps my explosion, a little speedier than the clean
          4. RDL
          I love the stretch at the bottom
          5. Pullup
          TO use a CF term, it helps me monitor my organism strength

          My personal five favorites:
          1. DEEP Back Squats
          2. Competition Snatches
          3. Muscle-Ups
          4. Power Cleans
          5. Overhead squats

          If this were to be a list of 5 most important / essential, I'd take out the competition snatches and overhead squats and add in an upper body pressing movement and a posterior chain exercise.

          Butt to heel. 90 degree deep is an oxymoron. I consider that a half squat.

          Yea and most people's 90degrees ends up being 110 degrees.

          5b: bench press

          You're cheating…you've already got about 8 (with all your variations)! You can't make a 5a and 5b and then add another and consider it 5. What's you're 5 favorite?

          What is a muscle-up?

          Muscle ups are a pull-up and dip combined. You pull yourself up such that your body is above the bar and then press yourself up. It works every muscle of the upper body and will be challenging to even the strongest individuals. I like to do it on rings.

          top 5:

          1: power snatch: best lift for athletes in the weightroom, the expression of power is higher then pc.
          2: power clean: total body power lift bc the lifter is able to lift more weight.
          3: back/front squat: best hip/knee ext lift.
          4: 1 leg squat/stepup/lunge: best hip knee ext single leg must in sports.
          5a: RDL best hip ext strength lift.
          5b: bench press: upper body press

          1. Back squat (correlated with my speed in an almost uncanny way)
          2. Power clean (also a good indicator of overall shape)
          3. Power snatch (the magnesium cloud looks cool when you really ???pop??? the weight)
          4. Bench (a versatile tool during a long season)
          5. 1-legged DL (but don???t go overboard with intensity on this one)
