Ok, for a 15 year old who's highly inactive and doesnt deal with sports, and hes some 30 pounds overweight, what would be a good time for him in the 50m?
What would be a good time for someone active in track and sports, whos thin and slim and does 50m quite often?like 5 or so seconds?

The WR in the 50 is 5.56. (5.3h approx). What's a good time for an overweight out of shape, untrained 15 year old LOL, I don't know why anyone would want to know the answer to thta question, but he would be doing okay if he were under 8, although to really be a competitive you have to be probably in the mid sixes.

I think Alex's estimation is probably about right.

Well, I think Id average 50m in about 10 or so seconds, I dont know really, Ive never checked although If I have the right diet, workout, strategy, and equipment I could pull in at 7 or so.

how about 30m…what would his time be?….considering this for someone whose not slim but have good amount of fat in him but still heathy nontheless, only difference is the age is 18 rather then 15 and runs upper 12's

          In the 30m, I guess about 8sec.
I run fast its just I dont do much, my legs are my only strong features I have, and my cabs are fully built cause of exercise I did 2 summers ago. Ive kept it in shape.

Ok peeps, here are my stats.
          50m=
          1st run. 7.69 secs
          2nd.run 8.7 secs(tired)
please note im not a pro, I never run, never do anything but stay at home. I have a ankle sprain and left abdomen muscle strain. Are these times ok for someone in my condition?

Also note I just ran with my friend alone, and it was timed. I had many handicaps I think, since Im not really knowlegable in track, but I know that someone like me in my condition with just a person saying 1..,..2.,..3 is not real pro-like, plus I did not have any "uniform" or "shoes" nor that thing people at track use to give them impulse. Are mid sevens good enough to join track?I got so tired doing the run, it tired me down greatly, but If I do track I might get better. Only thing Ill go for is 50m or 55m, nothing more lol.

Mid 7 is not too shabby at all. Keep on it, maintain a good diet and you should be alright. Track is an individual sport so as long as you go out and put in a good effort no real coach would cut you.

ah ok. TO be competitive in high school though, you should break into mid 6's right?
Thats my goal, I know Ill make it!:)
