    60/200m Meet

          I plan to do the 100/200m during the outdoor season, but I have an indoor meet in December in which I want to go for 60/200m. I was wondering if people typically use the indoor 200m as a baseline for the outdoors without too much training for it (focusing on the 60m), or is specific training done toward improving the 200m time?

          I usually put in special endurance runs of 250m or 300m at the end of each speed/accel practice sessions if time allows for it usually 1 or 2 reps. They have 1 day of tempo either 400m the hard way (10x40m for 2 or 3 sets) or 7-8 x 200m tempo endurance. This usually is enough to ensure a quality performance at 200m although it probably won’t get you a new PR.
