the drills are described accurately, or they can be seen on just about any video. i still think the speed dynamics videos are the best.
the question is are you really improving speed just by doing drills?
I think drills are a good way to teach concepts, and work on specific muscle strength and endurance as well as great for dyanmic mobility.
I for one know that after doing drills for years and years as an athlete and a coach, I can go out right now and do some drills that look very pretty, but I can't sprint fast at all.
The key is, is there technical mastery at race velocity?
Tellez was not a "drill" guy. I believe he simply had them run technical buildups at ever increasing speeds and made technical corrections as he saw them.
So I use drills all the time as part of our warmup for their mobility, and plyometric values. I also try to tie them in to what I want to see when sprinting. But it is the sprinting that makes them faster, and it is the sprinting where the major faults must be recognized and corrected.
