Perhaps revise what you consider a good squat workout?

After that, specify what you???re looking for (explosiveness, max. strength, your current situation, time until next competition etc.)

Why do you want to be “sore” in the first place?

My next competition is not until next year I won 2nd in state and I’m starting my summer program early and I want a good squat program to help get a better 400m time

Start with a light load and slowly build your way up? Although i think there are much better options to improbe your 400m with other than squat. And what do you mean by a squat program? Do you mean a program that will help increase your squat?

Is there any particular reason you want to focus on the squat? In most cases, I’d suggest that an overall strength training program (with squats as a major part) will have greater benefits than focusing on a single exercise.

You can’t get sore from squatting? Come on.

Either you are training with the intensity of a little school girl (no offense to school girls) or have superhuman recovery…I’m betting you may need a little more intensity.

If you want to get sore try taking some kicks to the legs from a decent Tia Boxer. Trust me, talk about sore, bruised legs.

or do 50 sets of 10 with 110%

Seriously though, a bunch of reps and sets of anything can make you sore…but is that really the point?

That German volume training looked like a bunch of crap to me. If you are juicing and eating 400gms of protein a day it may work for you.

          50×10 @ 110%?

          How is that ever possible?

I’m just trying to get stronger so I can have more power in the 400m what do you suggest

Try looking in the strength and conditioning forum. There are plenty of good strength workouts suggested there. As I said above, I’d suggest looking for a program that focuses on overall strength and power rather than just increasing your numbers in one lift.
