Today marked the beginning of Week 3 of training with Coach V. The first two weeks were really a feeling out process for me because the training methods are very different from my previous coach. I am a senior in college yet have not had too many coaches that have been able to mold me properly and I finally feel like I am in a good situation to learn and grow. Today we did the normal warm-up which consists of variations marching/skipping and buildups. We moved onto our accelerations out of a 3 pt. stance and went for 30m. For the past 2 weeks we have only gone 15m and 20m. I am starting to feel my speed coming back slowly with every rep I take. Med ball tosses and hurdle mobility have made me feel much stronger in my core and can already feel it translate to the weight room and to the track.
Our program for the fall runs 3 days a week with a coach and then 2 days are run by the captains(myself and a few others).
