i have never used the bench mark system with track and field guys, so tell me what you guys think: this is just for the cleans

          meso cycle1
          week 1:
          5×60- 5×65- 5×70-5×70-5×65

          week 2:
          5×60-x65-x70-x75-x75-x70

          week 3:
          5×60-65-65-60

          week 4:
          5×60-x70-x80- (set new bench markx85)-x70

week 5-8 very similar as meso 1 but drop reps to 3's

week 9-12 very similar as meso 2 but drop reps to 1-2's

but what does "set new bench mark" mean?

does that mean u go to failure or do u max out singles or what?

i personally think its too complicated for TRACK guys. most of the guys on track teams in universities have not lifted a whole lot with OL's in the past so i think u should keep it more basic. wave loading i dont think is necessary for these guys.,they gotta sprint, jump, run, squat, and all other stuff as well.

could this be used with fb guys during track type speed workouts meaning three speed days and two general fitness days. also for my new guys we go through a 2 week teaching phase to teach all lifts.

when do they do track type speed workouts during the season???

i think too much time is spent in the weightroom
USC spends 45 min and then the rest is on the field

im still unfmailar with fb guys thou as i know they have a large work capacity for volume

are u talking about speed workouts for training guys for combine ala "speed school"
