Who do you guys think has the best running form and who has the worst? What I am referring to is their form relative to speed and "prototypical" form. I give two votes for each…
1) Mo Greene. Excellent start, good arm motion, pretty good knee lift. Everything just seems to flow for him all nice and smooth.
2) Matt Bruno. He is the one I posted a link to his pics from advantageathletics.com for. He has great form from what I can see. Again, everything just looks like it flows. I just wish I could actually seem him run a race instead of looking at pics.
Worst (controversy here):
1) Tim Montgomery. The boy looks like a ballerina out there. I know you want a decreased ground contact time, but this guy is ridicuolous. He tippy-toes the whole races, doesn't let his arms swing, no knee drive or heel recovery at all, and he is the 100m WR holder? Could've fooled me.
2) JJ Johnson. He looks like Sonic the Hedgehog getting ready to shoot out a cannon. He curls up like a ball when he runs keeping all limbs close to his body at all times and again no heel/knee motion. He also keeps his arms close w/o swing and actually does it more so than Tim.
I'd like to see you guys' opinions. These are my votes and though what I say seems to be highly debatable as of lately, I think this is a legitimate subject.
