As some of you know i work at a vitamin store. It amazes me how many people buy Cell Tech and Nitrotech! In my opinion that company muscletech is terrible and those 2 products are horrible. I personally took Cell Tech when it first came out many years ago and all it did for me but bloated me up (water retention), made me slow, and put me on the toilet and gave me heartburn and an upset stomach. I didnt take it much longer.
Anyway, at my store we do not get commision so i want to know what you guys think about these products so i can help some young athletes stay away from them.
          So finish this sentance….

Cell tech and Nitrotech suck because….

and please lets not turn this into a Creatine thread….

Didn't the U.S. Bobsledder who tested positive for nandralone (?) a couple weeks before the 2002 Olympics use a Cell-tech product that was later found to be tainted. I believe he was cleared of the charges but wasn't allowed to compete in the games.

Stu might know the details because I think he trains elite level bobsledders.

I'll ask Stu to post on this as he is Pavle's coach.

Nitrotech is the product that Pavle took. I can't remember all the details but a news agency tested about 20 samples of Nitrotech from around the US and an extremely large percentage of them were shown to contain nandrolone. Enough that it almost looked like they were deliberately putting it in there. I have not purchased any Muscletech products since, and don't ever plan to.

It makes you wonder what the heck they are doing. If it's accidental, then they run a pretty crappy lab or production system. If it's intentional:

[*] why would they put them in there in the first place?
[*]why would they use so little that it would result in a positive test but not the associated performance benefits? [*]what's wrong with their standard "on the lable" product that they have to supplement it with something illegal?

There are 3 products to it. Acetobolan, Nortesten and something else. Its loaded with 19-Nor(something) which is where the positive Nandro tests come from I think.

            Mike,
Thats a good question. I know that Bill Phillips did some research on a protein called MethoxyPro because of the claims that it was so far superior and found that there was small amounts of creatine in it which could result in the extra gains the company was claiming.
