Ran into this article whilst researching on Usain Bolt. Seems that his coach had to shorten Usain’s stride length to make him faster.
I’m constructing a model of the forces that Usain produces in his 100-m sprints and would appreciate any statistics that people may have on him.
Specifically I’m looking at the number of strides per 10m, speeds(i.e. at 10m, at 20m , at 30m etc), stride length throughout the race, perhaps an indication of this ground contact time at any stage of the race, time on the blocks and anything else that people may think is relevant. Preferably it should come from publications ranked in this order; journal articles, print media, personal correspondences. If you are kind enough to share any information you may have please provide references to where the material came from.
