I find it very difficult to do them. Since i am able to squat at least 200, my lower body probably has enough strength to do these but my upper body dont. i dont have enough strength to fully lift tehm up. Should i lower the weights? or train my upperbody? OR maybe is it because my technique isnt correct?
DOnt have enough strength for cleans/snatches etc?

work on your deadlift. also you may be doing it wrong. generally you dont want to be using much upper body strength on OLs

What has been said so far is true…..the upper body should do very little if you are using correct technique in the OLs. Also, you what you stated in your last post makes me think that you’re under the assumption that you should be able to OL as much as you deadlift…..this couldn’t be further from the truch. If you can only deadlift 145 your snatch will probably much max in the snatch will likely be less than 100 pounds and your max in the clean likely wouldn’t be more than 115.

Have to agree with all the comments.
Starting of the clean is where deads could come in handy. But your best bet is getting a OL coach (or someone who can teach them) to look and help.
Most people tend to try and snatch the weight of the ground, a cue I use is to push my feet through the floor.

I agree that it sounds like you need someone to teach you.

I thought I should add that as a general guideline if strength:power ratios are good, and technique is sufficient, then the deadlift max should be about 150% of clean max.
