Recent research states that optimal recovery is enhanced through adequate nutrition. The ratio of carbohydrates to protein is best when 4:1 and also consumed within the first 15 minutes of the workout, race, lift, etc. While this is not an add for Accelerade, they have done a marvelous job at making a delicious and consumable drink that has this ratio. …
So in order to achieve the right amount protein to carbs, 8:32. I utilised 1/3 cup of dried Milk and 1.5 tbsp of Gatorade.

WOW. That sounds terrible. In that ratio I wouldn’t even have guessed that you’d get it to foam. I would have thought you’d just get sludge.

I will occasionally make my own protein bars and they are quite good. It took me a while to get the right recipe but I think they’re really quite good. They’re made with chocolate whey protein powder, peanut butter, whole oats, flax seed oil, and a couple chocolate chips. High in protein, fiber, and good fats. Low in sugars.

Haha, it certainly was terrible. There was no sludge though, it was dried milk and the gatorade powder mixed with about 12 ounces of water.

I am going to try and whip up something over the weekend after some planning and preparation. I am assuming it will be better but who knows, my next blog post could be “Foamy Vomit.”

Oh…I missed the part about 12 oz of water. Whew. Now you can see why I was so disgusted.
