Is there a way to calculate 55 or 60 meter time from a 40yd dash time?

40 yards equals 1440 inches. a 55m has 2145 inches and a 60m has 2340. divide your 40 time by 1440 and multiply by 2145 or 2340. your time will probably be a little quicker than what you get from that equation.

A hand timed 40 yard dash in 4.4-4.5 seconds is usually about a 6.4-6.5 handtime in the 55 meter dash. At football camp in college I ran a 4.4 and during the track season was always in the 6.6x-6.7x range. Sometimes for fun I run 40 yards for my acceleration distance in training and run 4.3-4.4. My 55 pr is 6.63.

Your right. Generally speaking however what I said earlier remains true. 4.4-6.4-6.5 hand time.
