Today we justhad our county meet. I cruised into 1st place in my prelims running a new PB of 11.14 and when we got to the finals, I placed 2nd running 11.3, not bad considering last year at the county meet I placed 8th with 11.9.

I should of had a better time in the 100 though, but it was totally my fault on this so i am making no excuse, the official forgot to load the gun and there was no shot so we had to do it again, it totally blew my focus off, but either way I still placed 2nd, its not first but Hey, being 2nd fastest in my whole county isn't too shabby:D

I'd also like ot thank EVERYBODY on this board and on other boards for all the help they gave me during the summer and all the other seasons. Without you guys I probably would of had major burn out by first weeks practice haha.

          Kudos

I'm not sure, they didn't give us our times at the end of the race so I am guessing fat since they went over to the tent and huddled around one person to get our times, I'll have to ask my coach.

You would know if it was FAT if you saw a camera set up at the finish line.

Well, tonight was State Meet down here in Louisiana, I ran 51.12 FAT good for 4th place. I wanted to thank everyone on this board, the amount of knowledge I have acquired from reading and posting is phenomenal. You guys will be hearing plenty more questions from me since i'm either running summer track or lifting weights over the summer to get ready for next years season at Emory (d3 in Atlanta). Good luck to everyone and I hope you all enjoy the success I did.

Well, after not even making hre SEMIFINALS in DISTRICTS, I ended up placing 2nd in the distrcits to the ONLY person who has beaten me this year who just so happens to be the state runner-up in the 100m last year in Division 3- and the favorite to win it this year, but this time he barely edged me out out first place runnign a 10.9 while I ran 11.0. Yesterday I had semis for the 100 at Regionals, and I ran 11.42 FAT with a cold and a bummed knee and got First place in my heat advancing to the FINALS! (i ran the 11.0 and 10.98 with a bummed knee, but it is about 80-90% healed now so it doesn't bother me) Oh yea, I also have hte second fastest time in the regionals so far, next to the same ole' kid I always get 2nd to. Considering I didn't make semifinals in the districts last year, I am now one race away from making it to the Division 3 state meet in the 100, and hopefully become the Regional champion! Wish me luck!

Oh yea, and Dagovernor, if all goes expected, I plan on meetin' up iwth ya at the State meet!

haha thanks Governor, you beat me to it haha. My time wasn't the best but I still qualified. I slept on my hamstring the wrong way so it felt tender all day today and we had to run in a monster of a headwind. my cold is about gone now. But come friday my knee will be healthy and my hamstring prob is already gone after a quick snooze on the car ride home haha. See ya at state gov!:bounce:

alright, U2U sent. You should of been ther, the 400 was awesome. April Rotillo of Belaire St. Johns ran a 56.8 FAT to win the 400, and shes only a sophmore! Jonathon Dunham, a Univ of Tenessee Commit, ran a 49.66 in the 400, not his best but it got the job done. He ran a 48.83 wednesday, niether of these had him being pushed. He also won the 200 in over a second, it was a slaughter haha.

Yeah I know about Johnathan Dunham. He is in my opinion the best 400m runner in the state of Ohio in ANY division after Ted Ginn. . . and MAYBE Zach Logan from Trotwood.

Today there were two state records set in our regional. Maggie Infeld broke the state record in the 1600. She ran 4:48.52

Also, Erin Ferut of Medina broke the state record in the Pole Vault. She vaulted 12'8"

yea i heard about the girl in the mile, that had to be amazing to watch. 12'8 for a girl is sick in the pole vault, that would beat quite a bit of guys in my area.

A funny thing about dunham was that he had to run his events in his high jump shoes because he forgot his running shoes at home. i overheard him and his coach talking about this and got a good laugh. I would also say that the wechter twins of Shelby would also have to be some of the top 400m runners in the state, they've ran 47.xx this year.

Oh I agree about the Wechters. I just don't think they can beat Dunham in a head to head matchup.

By the way, Ted Ginn ran 13.57 in the 110s yesterday. That is now the US #2 time.

The 4:48.52 by Infeld is now the US #2

The 12'8" in Erin Ferut is now the US #8

Wow Ohio is really tearing up this year in the National spotlight, the other national ranking I know Ohio Has is Ashley Muffet of North Canton Hoover in the shot put, throwing 48' 7"! What events is ginn doing at state? 110's, 4×4, 400, 4×1?

Have you seen Lancaster High School's track records? If you beat any of them you would HAVE to be in the top 10 Nationally here are a few of them:

          1600-4:02
          800-1:50
          100-10.7 (prolly their weakest record)
          200-21.2
          400-46.7
          Shot Put-67'10"
          Discus-198' XX"
          High Jump-6'10"
          Long Jump-23' 7"
          110 H-14.1

that mile time is REALLY insane!

          Ginn is doing the 400, 4 x 400, 110 hurdles, and the 4 x 200. The 4 x 100 can STILL win state GOING AWAY. . . . . WITHOUT HIM!

I've said this NUMEROUS times this season. What people have seen so far is NOTHING. . . . NOTHING compared to the assault they will put on the state record books this weekend. I can almost GUARANTEE YOU that all three relay records are GONE!! These are my predictions:

          110H – Ginn (13.44)
          4 x 100 – 40.86
          4 x 200 – 1:24.76
          4 x 400 – 3:09.50

As for the Lancaster records, the shot put and discus records are impressive as well.

          I was close!

I said Ginn would go 13.44. .. but he did me one better and went 13.40!!!!!

          The 4 x 100 ran a "sub-par" 41.53

The 4 x 200 ran 1:25.11 in the state semis

The 4 x 400 ran 3:15.xx which leads me to believe that they are gunning for sub 3:10 at adidas outdoor.

Yea Ginn really impressed me in the hurdles. What was even more insane was how he went from his PB of 47.5 in the 400 all the way down to the 46's 2 days in a row! that was insane!

It was nice meeting you tho, your an awesome person and I look forward to meeting up with you again!
