Anytime I go above my bodyweight with front squats my hip joint starts snapping when I fully extend on the way up and the heavier I go the worser it becomes. I believe that elevating my heels makes it even worser. When I try to push more with my left leg (is the one on the snapping side) it hurts more; my right leg is my dominant leg while lifting. Back squats are not a problem at all.
I don’t really want to drop front squats from my inventory, just now that I have gotten stronger I discovered this problem. Anybody has experienced this? Any clues on how to fix this?
