What are some good goals that are easily measured? I mean, for most people, its how well you perform during the season. But what are some good off-season goals to work for, or to measure progress? I know weight room numbers is an obvious one, but I don't think that great numbers in the weightroom directly contribute to athletic performance. I mean, even though I can move the bar faster and with more weight for a clean than some people, they still out-jump me, with height not being a factor. Speaking of which, what is my problem? I jump higher off two feet standing still than I do off of one with a running start. Can someone explain this to me? Back to the subject… does anyone have some suggestions? I'm a multi event athlete, and I have a few goals, one of my best being the mile run, but other than that I'm pretty much stumped.
