Please click on the ads on the main page. I didn't want to resort to putting ads on the site but since very few members actually support the site (it does cost money to run it) I thought I'd go this route. Click on one or two of the links every time you see them and I'll do my best to keep ELITETRACK at the forefront of track websites in both content and presentation. Thanks!

eh, as i understand it google ads cost US money when you click them (like $.06 a click).  and unless you buy something from the target website,  we dont make any money for it.

however those sponser links may work differently.

Google ads don't cost the consumer ANYTHING! The target website is charged based on a number of criteria (ad placement, number of keyowords, etc.). The person doing the clicking isn't charged at all. As for making money, I never said YOU make money…. I just asked that if you appreciate the website that you occassionally click on them because I am paid a very small amount each time one is clicked. The intent is to defray the costs of running the site (hosting package, domain registration, etc). I can assure you that I don't make money using those ad placements.

hehe, i wasn't saying you're gaining anything or that we get paid.

but as i understand the way google ads work is that you (mike) put up an advertisement to a target website (people who pay you),  google charges the owner of the ad (mike) per click, the target website pays mike per successful sale/registration/whatever.

that's just for google ads.  not for all ads.

actualy, i just realized i'm talking about google adwords,  not adsense.
so ya,  ignore it.  i forgot there's 2 types of google ads..

This is old but you've got it all wrong. Google scans the site…finds out what the content of the site is about…and then places relevant ads on the site. I don't pay anything and I don't choose what ads are on the site. The only person who pays is the company whose ads have been clicked on. What they pay is divided between google and the site where the ads were placed.
