I wanted to know how much will sprinting on grass effect your 100 meter in seconds or how much it is supppose to effect your sprint times in seconds.

Are you talking about training on grass or competing on grass?

O sorry.Competing, say you have a 10.62 sprinter what do you think the time on grass should be?

depends on the grass.  charlie says ben ran 10.06 on a chewed up grass track.

Hell Monty ran 9.96 PR on grass.  It totally depends on the track

I agree with Mort. A grass track is worth around 0.15-0.4s. The conditions of the ground and the type of grass would probably have a big effect on the how fast or slow the ground is.

I had no idea that Mont's 9.96 non-ratified WJR was run on a grass track. That's amazing.

That article reads pretty funny, knowing what we know now. I particularly enjoyed:

"'I ran six times under 10 seconds in '97. And I am telling you right now I trained three times a week.'"

(Related to what Mike has said about doped up medalists being able to get away with less than perfect training)

"After Montgomery's training partner Marion Jones clocked 10.88 in the women's race, Montgomery felt he could run fast."

(Because he was on the same shizzle)

"He ran in lane five, the same as Jones, and even used her starting blocks."

(Did they use the same lawyers?)

Didn't Asafa and his coach say that he missed a lot of practices this year and was kind of lazy?

He's actually said it on multiple occassions. I know where you're going with this (and I don't mind) but let's stay on topic.

Incidentally, there are TONS of articles, new clips, and video snippets of Marion Jones out there that look ridiculous now that she has given a partian confession.
