I am a freshman in high school and have no track experience, whatsoever. I am, although, in shape and workout regularly (about 3 times a week). I waited out this year from sports, trying to figure out which I would fit in to. I decided to run track, because I am pretty fast at short distance (40-100m I would say), BUT I do not enjoy running for extended periods of time haha (800m I could do, but I do not wish to get involved with the mile, because I would look horrible compared to my friend that runs the mile in 4:54, also a freshman). I figured I would start training now for next year's track season, since I have no experience and must get prepared. I am in DIRE need of a great preparation kind of training program that I can start now and continue with through the summer and until next year's track season begins. I am very determined at becoming good at this and will push myself until I do it, so no matter how hard or trying the conditioning is, I am up for it. So do you think ya'll can help me out with this? If you don't have the time, do not worry about it. Also, if you have any questions, just ask.
oh yea p.s. i am interested mainly in running the 100
