Not really. Some people have a better hang clean because they use the stretch reflex better, some have a better power clean because they get something out of the first pull. I think that if your form is right your power clean should be higher.
Thanks, for the reply. I had an outstanding day lifting on Saturday. I have only done a clean or variation of any olympic lift in the last twice since the week of April 5. I had done 8 weeks of hypertrophy since and 2 weeks of strength transition. Anyway, I hang cleaned 1×5, 5, 3, 3 at 175, 185, 200, 220 respectively from slightly above the knee. I had never maxed out over 250 for 1 rep in a power clean so I was wondering if there was any way to see what a full clean max would be for me.
As DellDell said, there's no way to tell because it would almost be like comparing apples to oranges….the extrapolation is just too great for us to predict. With time and experience using the two lifts you should be able to make self-predictions though.
