HELP. I have 3 weeks to go before tryouts. I know this may sound dumb but I need help choosing an event. I've been following the dumbest advice in the world by training for both sprints/jumps and middle distance for most of the summer. I'm okay in both areas. My long jump is almost 24ft and my triple jump is substantial(haven't measured yet.) I was training for the 400 pr 52s and the 1600m pr 4:30. The head coach at Ole Miss told me that I should choose between sprints/jumps and distance. I like both and am seeing steady improvement in both. I might drop the 400 but want to continue jumping. My potential events are the 800m,1600m,3200m and 5k. Please help. Any training for both jumps and distance???? HELP!!!!
