I run the following setup for my high school heptatlon group. We are in a SPP phase, our early comp phase starts in mid January and our final peaks are on the 2/3 March and the 13/14 of April. Would you guys please comment on it.
You will notice a fair bit of hurdles in the setup. The athletes this is for are very weak at hurdles. And most have never run a competitive hurdles race in their lives. The same goes for javelin, one has a good competitive distance but very bad technique, the rest are just weak at it. I also like to have two speed sessions, as I believe heptathlon favours the faster athlete.
