Heyy, well I’m a senior in high school and currently on winter track. Our practice schedules goes some what like this,
Monday: Sprints (around 9 x 200s or something like that)
Tuesday: Speed work, blocks, jumps (long jump/triple [some times])
Wednesday: Speed endurance work
Thursday: Speed work, blocks, jumps (long jump/triple [some times])
Friday: We usually do some fast sprint endurance work.
We have a pretty good schedule and adjust it to our meets and athletes.
The problem is, I am a lot better long jumper and triple jumper than I am a high jumper. But I still want to high jump.
What I was thinking of, how good would it be for me to practice high jump over the weekends by my self? Our pits are outside and so is the equipment. So I have access to it any time.
Would it be a good idea? Not too much stress on my body?
Also if I were, what kind of things would I do. Links would be wonderful for this.
