High school coach with zero access to any hills. I have a waist harness, but have never really been a huge fan. I was hoping someone might know of a good hill substitute that maybe I'm not thinking of. Right now I'm thinking I'll either use the harness or just do more plyo work and med ball work.
Hills substitute for GPP?

Nope. I don't think I'd use them anyway. I normally don't like to do anything that will cause a deviation from good sprinting mechanics. Towing isn't ideal, but I think given the circumstances its the best I'll get.

I agree. In fact thats my problem with harness work. Since we're inside they have to tow eachother. I can barely trust these guys to judge their own tempo speed, let alone 10% of somebody elses max effort.

Whats an Isorbic Exerciser? I thought that was one of those skating simulaters that Bo Jackson used to promote back in the day.

An isorobic exerciser is a rope, which is attached to an adjustable brake mechanism.
It's very useful for resisted running.
Check it out on this picture on Ebay (not mine, so I hope it's okay to post this link).

Ooooh. I think I used one of those in college, but never knew what it was called. I really like those, how much do they cost? Also the one in that pic looks reeeealy old school. What are those wooden handles for?
-
I bought one myself on ebay -and it is old school
The wooden handles are for other uses – biceps curls and stuff.
What you have to do is to replace the cord with a longer one, since the one ine the exerciser is only meant for stationary drills.
Looks old school – is old school – but it works.
