I'm currently in my GPP phase of training and have 3 more weeks before moving to SPP. One of my many hill sessions currently consists of 6x30s w/2min rec (~110m on a relatively steep hill). On my last rep, my glutes and quads are swimming in lactic acid, I can barley do 90m and have come close to puking on a couple of occasions. Based on the intensity and recovery, this session feels like similar to a 6×200@85% w/2min rec.
1) Does this type of session have a place in GPP? Should I continue doing it on hills till SPP, then move move it to the track?
2) Any of you do similar hill sessions with high lactic buildup?
