    hip pains

          in my left hip i have a pain about 3 inchs down from my hip and about 2 inchs away from my penis. it makes it very hard to have a good knee lift during sprints. can any one tell me how to recover from this injury or how to stretch that area. thanks

          it hurts when i do sit ups and try to lift my leg over something.

          Sounds like a hip flexor injury. Can stretch hip flexors by sitting right on the end of a bench then lie back and pull one knee to your chest using your hands. Let the other leg dangle off the end of the bench and you should feel a stretch in the area. You should hold for about 60secs a time.

          Injuries of this nature, if that is in fact what it is, are typically associated with overuse. Generally they do not completely subside until sufficient rest is given, which is not always possible unfortunately.

          it there any weight traing i could do in the gym to target this muscle?

          If the hip flexor suggestions do not help I’d get checked for a hernia. The location seems is a very common site for hernias.
