Sort of trying to steal ideas for learning things…Ok, I am up extremly late at night and have been totally stalking through old threads, and then I was wondering how people here learned what they know about T&F(ie. What books/resources did you buy, in what order, what did you read?) I am super curious. For me I am 14 and don’t know nearly as much about track as most of you guys(Although I am a massive track geek), but here is how it went for me…
1.Spent Early 2011 googling stuff like how to get faster, etc., learning basics that may or may not have been right.
2.Summer 2012-Became reguluar reader of speedendurance.com, watched lots of track
3.Fall 2011-Got super into learning as much as I could about track, researched pro type training and began to apply it to myself, not knowing how it wasn’t right for me…
4.Winter 2012-became reguluar reader of threads on Elitetrack, and reguluar reader of Completetrackandfield.com and speedendurance.com. Bought “Building the Perfect 100m Sprinter from Start to Finish”Began training, still too high volume, etc.
5.Spring/Fall 2012-Began to learn more in depth things(Not too in depth, more the why’s, force application, and mechanics) through reading threads here and reading old blogs. Learned more about developing High School athletes
This is major overkill, but I was wondering how it went for you guys as well.
