Hello Elitetrack world. I’m new to the site as a member but have been following for the past year and this is my first post. I am a new young coach at a small d2 school and look over the multi’s and jumpers. With the winter weather approaching, we are about to run out of practice places. When the track is covered we only have a basketball court, a pool, and a few low end treadmills for practice. Twice a week we travel 45 mins to practice at a indoor track but mainly just do our LJ,HJ, and PV work while we’re there.
Can anyone give me some ideas or guidance one how to keep the training going through the winter with losing the athletes interest, increasing chance of injury, and keep practice as productive as possible?
