I've been doing hurdles for the past 4 years and I never got anywhere near that time (unless you count my worst ever 55m H as a freshman in HS (11.9)). I would say you are doing damn good.

I was just informed that i will be running the 400 hurdles for my track team due to my "sprinting ability and incredible athleticism" whatever that means but its what i got from all my coaches. Any advice? I ran the open 400 in 52 and this year i'm planning on a sub-50 open 400. which will be my school record. My coaches have told me another goal i should have is to break our 400 hurdle record…56.something. Think its possible for a begining hurdler? I was told i had good hurdle form when i was just going over them fooling around.
