Is this product a good stimulant?

Thinking of purchasing, or is it better just to drink caffiene drinks?

It provides 200 mg of caffiene in each tablet, and I’d have to drink a lot of energy drinks to reach that amount which could cause me to be sick, especially just before competition.

Any other good, cheap stimulants out there?

Musclespeed is certainly a great one, (if you’re not being tested ;), but seriously it’s good…

          Ignite is another good one.

Nah legit ones please haha as I intend to be tested this year (World Juniors)

Also need websites where I can get them from please …

          https://musclespeed.net/

          https://www.bodybuilding.com/store/nutrex/ignite.html

I think Nick mentioned that there’s a banned ingredient in musclespeed, though they have a new version now… which I ordered. Forgot what it was, but I know it’s some bullsh*t ban, and no big deal, but still wouldnt use it before a tested comp!

Look into ignite, but I’m not sure if i’ve read about synephrine being banned though… ignite contains methylsynephrine…

Anyway, those are two great products, especially the musclespeed!

Why don’t you try some of the mainstream ones that you can get from Tesco, something like BSN No-Xplode, MtRx Amped or the new PHd one think it is called V-Max pump.

They are all the same pretty much they all have beta-alanine, citrulline malate, creatine, caffeine and arginine.

I have always shyed away from them as they seem more aimed at bodybuilders to get a ‘pump’ whatever that means! But reading what people suggest on here and CF regarding stimulants they seem to have all the main ingredients that people reccommend.

For 200mg caffeine, you would need just over 3 x red bull, which isnt enough to make you sick, especially if you dont drink any additional water/sports drinks in that time. The myprotein product is going to be pretty good, and, like you say, contains no liquid, which is easier on your stomach.

          Potential problems I can see:
          * 200mg straight up might be too much – I prefer to take my caffeine over a longer period (this might not be a problem for you)
          * Caffeine in its anhydrous form (which means salt) is generally more potent that in liquid form, so is equivalent to more than 200mg from liquids.

It comes down to individual preferences though – I dont like caffeine in tablet form, I find it gives me cramps. You might be fine though, so its certainly worth a try. Im sponsored by myprotein, and havent had an issues with failed dope tests, so you should be fine.

          Thanks Craig

I have had caffiene in tablets and they don’t give me cramps so I should be alright taking this. However the other week befroe the drink i had half a bottle of kick and I was getting cramps!

Just have a big cup of coffee. Helps warm you up. Hydrates you, gives you caffeine plus some antioxidants.

          1. Hate coffee

          2. Wouldnt be handy to have in warm up area

          3. Doesnt have enough caffiene in to really stimulate the CNS

          Thanks anyway though

I thought you said you were around 400-450mg of caffeine for your PB?

Only if it is substantially far away from a meet (1-2 weeks minimum). Otherwise, I drink huge amounts of tea (usually white and sometimes green) daily, though it prob rarely exceeds 200mg a day and is usually well under that.

Not for my PB, but I have taken upto 450mg for a race, which was too much. 300-350mg is probably as high as I would want to go, but I wouldnt take it all in one go, I would stagger it.
