Hi im 16, and my main events are the 800m, and the 300m Hurdles.
So what i noticed when i did my workout yesterday was that i was getting tired but my legs weren’t really fatigued. Im not much of a distance guy because i have a little bit more speed then the milers i train with.
The workout was 4x800m, rest 1 lap after you finish… We were suppose to come in at 2:25 lol but that didn’t happen more then once. I came in at 2:24 the first one, then 2:51 the second one, then 2:30’s or 2:40’s for the 3rd and 4th one.
I felt horrible my head started hurting, i felt like i was about to s**t my pants the last 200m and my lungs felt a little heavy. One of the hardest workouts iv done.
So how do i improve my VO2 max? Which is what im guessing i need to improve. Correct me if im wrong.
Also does a workout that makes you hurt make you better? I would guess so?
