Here’s where I struggle every year. The micro after a huge meet. We had our conference meet this past weekend. Our good sprint kids ran things like
prelims- day 1-200 and 400, day 2- 4 x1, 200, 400, 4 x 400
prelims day 1- 100, 200, day 2- 4 x 1, 100, 200, 4 x 400
obviously the volume leading up to that weekend has dropped to minimal for the preceding micro.
they always get two days off after the meet. come back day 3 and it is moving around more than anything (i.e. 8 x 100 @ 65-70%).
day 4-7 is the tricky part. i usually wait until i get to practice to decide what we’ll do based on how they feel.
i’d be curious as to thoughts on how people would handle days 4-7?
