Would like suggestions on training plans to use in the morning for sprinters who will be racing 6+ hours later. I often see sprint squads doing A-skips, Walking RDL’s, etc. for about 20 minutes in the parking lot of their hotel on the morning of a race.
Mix of general and specific drills?
Mix of static and dynamic stretching?
I am concerned about firing the CNS too early in the day and would lean towards doing a general ‘shake out’ on the mornings of race day.
