As I mentioned in a previous blog entry, the Beijing Sport University is essentially part of a sport system and culture that also includes many of the national training centers. On the same campus as the unive

I think that was more for gymnastics and pole vaulters rather than to do suspension training as we’ve recently been discussing it on the boards. Half of that MEGA facility was for gymnastics and half for track.

And I thought the facilities we had in the capital were good (Cardiff).

The Great Gazoo – Beijing 09 “One of the outdoor tracks actually had a 30m ramp with 3 different grades…”

          CFKA – Eugene 08 “slight downhill running…”

haha….I thought that might catch your eye.

Unfortunately I didn’t see it in action so I don’t know if they were using it for overspeed / eccentric training or for incline running (or both).

Answer of up vs. down use depends on what exists beyond the 30m at either end?
Was there room for an extended run at speed at the bottom of the decline?
          (my guess)

There was room in both directions. It was actually part of the track. I’d guess that if you ran uphill there was a 15m run out and if you ran downhill it led on to an extended straightaway (~150m).

          You can see it here.[/url]

or in the movie that I attached to the blog there are actually two views that are the last things shown. Go to about 3:55 in the movie and watch and you’ll be able to see it pretty clearly.
