One of my friends on the track team is EXTREMELY fast but he has alot of problems. One is he doesn't lift his knees when he runs.. so he has no kind of stride, which hurts him. Second is his start. Like I said, he is FAST but he is always playing catch up. Everyone always get's the first step on him. I don't remember 1 time in his high school career where he's beaten someone out of the blocks. third and final is his nerves. When it comes to big time meets he gets really nervous. He doesn't admit it much, but it's obvious. So his 10.8 in 100m in small duel meets drops to 11.5. WHich is a BIG drop. If he were to control his nerves, Get an excellent start and learn to lift his knees.. then the sky is the limit for this guy. Did i meantion he is only a 16 year old sophomore 🙂
