My current PR is 2:30 with a split of 1:04/1:26 (I did not really pace myself). I am set on trying out for my school team next season (tryouts are in late august), so i basically have 5 months to train. I need to lower my time to 2:10-15ish. Is this doable? Any pointers or suggestions for training regimens? Thank you.
