Hey Guys, i'm new to this board and pretty excited about it. A little background info, I'm will be a sophmore at the University of Texas, and will be trying out for the track team there. I did not run my freshman year because of some transfer issues from UTSA, but have already contacted the Texas coaches about next year. I started out running XC my sophmore year, simply because our soccer coach required it. I was moved up to varsity after 2 races, and performed well. My sophmore year I ran track, running the mile and 800m dash with my PRs at 5:05, and 2:04. My junior year, I ran XC again and my PR was 17:28. I began to run the mile relay my junior year with my best split at a 50.6. Senior year i had a back injury during XC and never fully recovered. For track i ran 400m, and mile relay only, because the 800m was to close. My best 400m dash was 51.1, and best mile relay split was 50.1. I would like to run 800m, distance medley, or something similar but am completely lost as where to start. If someone could please give me some advice and/or point me in the right direction that would be great! Thanks a lot guys!
