    One Leg At A Time

          The cornerstone of function is the gait cycle. Movement occurs off one leg onto the other. Movement in sport and in life in general for that matter require the body to reduce and produce force in multiple planes in a myriad of permutations of the gait cycle.           I have thought for a while now that next season when I begin training again that I would primarily use SL exercises throughout the year.

          Huge fan of them as well! Essential for sprinters and jumpers in my opinion also.

          I usually do SL exercises during a season, but I have never used as a backbone to lifting program.

          I think building a bulgarian to max like a front or back squat would be benificial. A 3 rep max or so I mean.

          one leg exercises are good for building general strength and coordination. Weighted exercises like bulgarian deadlifts and stepups are limited in building max strength and power in my experience.
