I was curious if anyone has heard of or has any experience with the following:

          https://www.momentumsports.co.uk/Main.asp

I’m considering giving them a try to train for sprints…

          thanks!

Well, you could try about 15-20 of the active posters on this board as well as Mr. HPC/Elitetrack aka Mike Young, I heard he’s pretty good.

tell me your goals, availability, how much you think this should cost you in a PM and I’ll tell you if I will accept it or not. you can pay me through pay pal as well.

As someone who’s done my fair share of online coaching I would imagine that at that cost (~$240 year) you would get a cookie-cutter program that would be worse than what you could probably get around here (with a little work and diligence of course) for free.

          This is exactly my concern.

After doing a meet for fun and pretty much cold turkey, I’ve since done a fair amount of research (e.g. studied and applied the CFTS system before, as well as things I learned on this and some strength training related sites), but applying what I’ve learned and believing that what I’m doing is working is another story, especially without feedback from an expert…

Online coaching in general doesn’t seem to be the greatest if you already have a clue about what to do. That is of course unless the online coach has met you and worked with you to some extent. I’ve seen a lot of things go awry when someone is coached by somebody who hasn’t seen any video of the person, hasn’t met them and seen them in action, etc. Not that it is worthless, but it is far from what I consider traditional coaching (which is more than just writing workouts or giving ideas).

Doesn’t look like you’re going to get much sprint help from that site. Who are the majestic online coaches. DB Hammer and Brad Nutall?

I wrote about some of the things that I’ve found are necessary for an ideal correspondence training setup. You can read it here. There’s a lot to expand on these points though and I might get around to making a longer post on my experience and what I’ve learned from my successes and failures doing the correspondence thing.

I’d be extremely interested to hear more since this may end up happening with me and any advice would be great.
