okay its strange, i've been debating wiht myself in how should i run. I have short legs but not real short, just normal for my height 172.5cm. However my torso is fine by my arms are long, i can extend my arms past my coaches arm (he is 182cm) around 6'1 is his height me around 5'8.5.

How does this affect my arm speed, and my legs, should i go about more turnover, my coach says i drop my knees alot, and need the habit of running with high knees. Although I feel more comfortable moving really fast with my legs. It is very perplexing thought. Help suggestions appreciated. Mike please post im gonna post million times again, i've gone without crazy posts for awhile in the months.

          Jesus christ…

Everybody is different. Ato Boldon and Tim Montgomery are of similar stature, but run very different races, as does Asafa and formerly Carl Lewis. Run the way that is comfortable and sound for you. Are you overstriding? Are you getting triple extension? Stop worrying so much and just RUN.

How did you go about figuring this one out? lol.

What are you PR's and how long have you been running for?
Everyone has their own running style. Do what feel natural. Post video and we will critique.

been running 2 years now, but injured before second season really hit in. Well i like to run with fast turnover(mike knows this) but that doesnt mean im going fast although i feel i go fast, and i seem to go faster taht way, but with the disproportion to my arms im unsure if the conventional sprinting methods work towards me. Yes i know i need a damn camera non right now oneday i will post…Oneday

          Senri-
I've seen all kinds of body shapes but I've never seen one where arm length limited sprinting performance. Are you an orangutan by chance?

my coach notice i have long arms and he stood beside me and had me extend them to prove how long they were despite him being taller then me. I have strange body it supinates even though i have the flattest foot in the world. It looks like it pronates but it supinates you can tell by the soles worn out under my shoes.

heheeh who knows mike im black person from brazil, so i might've descended from the bantu people or sudan. Those were the most from teh african slavery brought into brazil, i could be one of those two never bothered to look into it.

blocks feels fine, to get off low i spread them out wide. Now that i got in more races this year, i have found a way to make them move faster, and it gives me a boost at the end of the race, im running faster now with this armspeed i came up with.
