Frans was kind enough to translate some of his remarks on his idea into English. Much of the background for this is the Book and the DVD available at http://www.gambetta.com Positive Running – Maintaining top speed in running – Basic ide

          Yikes,

This is similar to some things I had in my Max Velocity mechanics presentation I was going to give at BSU.
Stable pelvis to maximize elastic enhancements, "big splits", torso angle – height of C of Mass (mid support, toe off) etc…

Should have known someone was already there, better versed than my limited capabilities.
Might have to use a thesis adviser to protect future projects against unintended plagiarisms?

Still tinkering with a potential response to the Weyland Jedi's…

Just wrote and submitted an article myself about sprint mechanics that covers these topics (and others) in much greater depth. I'll put it on the site before it is published.

and I was referring to you as my potential thesis adviser…

Its no fun getting beat to the punch so I'm moving to another planet.  Unless thats why you mentioned wanting to hear my presentation Todd listed but I didn't end up giving at his place.

Seriously though, I will look forward to your article and as I mentioned I am working on an angle on the Weyland debate.

Haha. I'll publish to the site either on the next article article update or the one after that.

          Anxiously awaiting the Weyand article.

Quality article Mike, great review.  The Mann (2005) you cited, I can't seem to find it.  Has it been published?

Thanks. RE- the new Mann aricle, it's unpublished material that Ralph gives away at his elite sprint coach seminar.
