I've talked to someone recently, and they brought up something to me I'm curious about.
They say that after a good track session that they drop heavy OL's since they don't have it in them to do them, but stick to bench and squat and throw in a back exercise as well as a posterior chain exercise. Would this be a good idea for a younger sprinter?
I was thinking this may be good to some extent, but at the same time, maybe OL's NEED to be implemented at my age, but I don't know.
See, this year I'll be lifting before school and training afterwards (about 4-5hours later) and I've done well in performance lifting first and running second (actually felt better running doing this), and I was also wondering if this would kill me in the long run and if I were to do the above mentioned workout in the morning and then ran would that kill me?
Sorry lotta questions. Thanks for the help.
