Hi … I'm a senior sprinter (51yo) without any previous formal sprint training. I'm preparing for several meets this summer and I'm interested in learning of any training drills/advice that would be specific to the 200m sprint (i.e. running the curve, building speed endurance for that distance, etc). Also would be looking for input on recommended strategies for running the 200m … do you go "all out" on your start and acceleration (as if for the 100m)? … do you attempt to conserve energy early in the race to have something left at the end … how do you guys coach and prepare yourself and/or your 200m athletes? Thanks!
