I'm about to start my 10-day taper in preperation for my major competition Sat. July 22nd (200m & 400m). Things have been going pretty much as planned so far this season with my times coming down nicely. During my taper, I plan on reducing my volume considerably and taking a few extra rest days.
I've been racing a lot the past few weeks and don't want to over do it, but I have the opportunity to run a 200m Tues. July 18th on a fast mondo track. I'm tempted to run, but was wondering if I should stay away from any competition till D-Day?
